Town Office Building on March 19 and 20, 2011

Calling all Monson Quilters!  Please show your quilts at the 250th Anniversary Quilt Exhibit.  The exhibit will be held at the Town Office Building on March 19 and 20, 2011.  Please contact Dawn Sullivan @267-4622 or dsull54@comcast.net for information.  She needs to know the number of quilts being exhibited by early March.  Also, it’s not too late to make your wall-hanging challenge quilt!  Raffle tickets are also still for sale at the Library, Woodbine, Beth’s, Truine Wellness, Saturday Morning Curiosities.  Tickets will be for sale at Adams on February 19th.  $1 each or 6 for $5.  Please be sure to come see the 250th Anniversary Quilt, pictured here, up close and personal.   It is truly a work of art.  We have so many talented people here!

Start/finish at Peaked Mountain main entrance, figure eight loop around Peaked Mountain and Miller Forest Tract on woods-road, single-track trail and pavement. Terrain includes steep incline to start, decline, and then gently rolling-to-flat to the finish.

More Info Monson’s 250 Year Dash is a town wide scavenger hunt celebrating Monson Massachusetts 250 year anniversary. Teams of four will attempt to complete the scavenger hunt list. The list is a combination of items teams must obtain and photos to take, all highlighting “250″ and/or Monson points of interest.

Saturday, Sept. 4,2010.  Applications are now available at  Adam’s IGA or Woodbine Country Store and will also be available @ Summerfest on July 5th. Or call Jeanne at 413-267-3996.

Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church will have a Pancake Breakfast from 7:00 – 10:30  featuring “specialty pancakes”, sausage, beverages.   Also, there  will be lunch available from 11:00 – 1:30 sandwiches, etc. This will give all the “tag salers or is that tag sailors”  a great beginning to a fun day, and a nice little lunch and a place to sit a bit after they’ve done some shopping….

(#1 and #250 are not for sale right now.) Customers can choose a number if available. Payment must be received before you can get the plate.
